No After Effects Required

Can I convert MP4 to Lottie?
Yes. Import an MP4 file and export a Lottie-compatible ZIP, transparent WebM, GIF, or PNG sequence. Short clips with simple backgrounds work best.
Can I convert GIF to Lottie?
Yes. GIF input can be exported as an image-sequence Lottie ZIP or another supported format. GIF has binary transparency: a pixel is either opaque or transparent. Converting it does not recreate soft edges or colors already lost in the source.
Can I convert MOV to Lottie?
MOV support depends on its codec and your browser. If decoding fails, re-export the source as H.264 MP4 and try again. Changing the filename extension alone does not convert the codec.

Why does an HEVC or H.265 MP4 fail in the browser?
Browser video decoding support depends on the codec, not only the .mp4 extension. If HEVC or H.265 is unavailable, convert the source to H.264 MP4 or VP9 WebM, then run the conversion again.
What are the size, duration, and frame limits?
Inputs can total up to 100 MB. Video output is limited to a 15-second selection, 450 frames, and a 1920 px long edge. When the frame cap is reached, the tool lowers the effective frame rate to keep the selected duration: 15 seconds requested at 60 fps becomes 450 frames at 30 fps. These are individual limits, not a promise they can all be used together; the frame-memory budget can require a smaller output. MP4/MOV sources longer than 30 seconds must be trimmed outside the tool first.
Can I reopen a converted animation later?
When the local save succeeds, you can reopen the exported result in Workspace in the same browser without converting it again. Check the save status and keep a downloaded copy: clearing browser storage can remove local work. This saves the result, not the source video or a fully editable project. Cloud sync and share links are optional.
