Convert Lottie to GIF
Turn any Lottie animation into an animated GIF — right in your browser. Free, no signup, and nothing is uploaded. Drop a file, pick the size and frame rate, and download.
Drop a Lottie file to convert
.json, .zip, or .lottie — up to 50 MB. Nothing is uploaded; it converts in your browser.
When a GIF beats a Lottie
Lottie is the right format inside an app or website: it is tiny, crisp at any resolution, and scriptable. But plenty of places cannot play a Lottie at all: email clients, GitHub READMEs, chat apps, app-store listings, and many social posts. Those want a GIF.
Rather than reopen After Effects to re-render, EasyLottie converts the Lottie you already have. It renders the animation frame by frame with the same engine that plays it on the web, then encodes those frames into an animated GIF on your device.
Need to change the artwork or colors first? Recolor it with Color Swap or swap images with Image Replace, then come back and export the GIF.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Lottie to GIF converter really free?
Yes. It is 100% free with no signup and no watermark. The whole conversion runs in your browser, so your file is never uploaded to a server.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. EasyLottie renders and encodes the GIF entirely on your device using your browser. Your Lottie file never leaves your machine.
Why does my GIF have a solid background?
The GIF format has no real alpha channel, so a transparent Lottie has to be flattened onto a background color. Pick the background that matches where the GIF will be used.
What file types can I convert?
Standard Lottie .json, .zip packages (Lottie plus image assets), and .lottie files. Image assets inside a ZIP are inlined automatically so they render in the GIF.
Can I export to MP4 or WebM instead?
This tool focuses on GIF today. For a smaller, higher-quality file, a GIF is often fine for short loops; MP4 export is on the roadmap. For editing colors or images first, use the Color Swap and Image Replace tools.
